A surrealist animation following a non-aging man and Mischief, a shapeshifting creature who dares to uncover his haunting past.

Director Bio
Justin Tomchuk is a multi-disciplinary artist focusing primarily on animation and composing for film and music. He grew up in rural Nova Scotia as a teenager and would pass the days creating short humorous videos and animations with his friends. He would later attend NSCAD University and in 2012 obtained an undergraduate in fine arts with a major in film production. He found it difficult to find work in his industry after graduation but accepted his first salaried job in Montreal as a video editor for Playboy. After suffering burnout and disinterest, he was relieved of his work as part of company-wide layoffs. That is when he, with his girlfriend Karolina Szablewska decided to start their own production company known as Stereokroma and publish videos on Youtube. Together they would film documentaries about how artisanal products within Canadian manufacturing are created. The channel became very successful and received over 90 million views. In 2017, Justin returned to his roots and started a new short animation Youtube channel. He is now known online as “u m a m i”, for his collection of shorts, but as well, for animating an independent web series (later compiled into a feature film) titled “Interface”.
